The body was discovered as search and rescue crews looked for Daina Kulnys, 57, who was last seen leaving her home on Columbus Place in Halifax on Friday around 4 p.m.
Kulnys' car was found in the beach's parking lot on Saturday.
Police have not confirmed the identity of the body.
It was discovered in the water near the park's shoreline around noon on Sunday.
Police said the body is with the medical examiner's office and the woman's death doesn't appear to be foul play.
Both a helicopter and a Coast Guard boat helped in the search.
