Police have arrested a 54-year-old man in Greenwood without incident after a standoff that began on Saturday.
The man surrendered around 4:30 Monday morning.
Officers from the Kings District RCMP were called to the house on Hall Road at 7:25 p.m. Saturday and remained there until early Monday morning.
Police said they had reason to believe a man inside the Annapolis Valley residence was armed.
Police said the man is being assessed at the Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville.
Police had several kilometres of roads around the home blocked off as a precaution. Nearby homes were evacuated.
The roads around the area have been reopened and people have been allowed to return to their homes.
