Nova Scotia's Serious Incident Response Team is investigating after a man was injured during a police chase early Saturday morning.
Two RCMP officers were conducting a checkpoint around 2:45 a.m. on Highway 7 when a driver was instructed to pull over.
The vehicle fled the scene and turned onto Riley Road.
Police pursued the vehicle and found it less than a kilometre down the road on its roof.
The male driver, in his mid-20s, was seen running from the car and was arrested.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II hospital with a broken jaw.
