Halifax Regional Police are investigating two muggings Monday evening in Dartmouth.
At approximately 6 p.m., a 21-year-old woman was assaulted at Metro Transit's Dartmouth Sportsplex bus terminal on Nantucket Avenue.
The woman was attacked by three female suspects who tried to steal her backpack, knocked her to the ground and kicked and punched her, said Halifax Regional Police.
The woman was not seriously hurt.
The three suspects fled from the scene and were arrested a short time later.
Two of the suspects are being charged with robbery and breaches of their conditions, while the third woman is being charged with assaulting a police officer and obstruction.
All three are scheduled to appear in Youth Court Tuesday morning.
Less than an hour later, at 6:44 p.m., Halifax Regional Police received another call of a mugging on Mount Hope Avenue in Dartmouth.
Two men were walking when five to six males began to follow them, threatened them with a knife and demanded their backpacks and electronics, said police.
Officers said one victim was punched in the face and had several teeth cracked and the other victim was knocked to the ground and punched. They were treated by emergency crews.
Halifax Regional Police said all the suspects are young males. Four of them were arrested but have since been released.
The remaining two suspects are described as: a black male, 15 to 16 years old with a thin build; a white male, about six feet one inch tall with dark hair.
