QMJHL suspends Que. player for racist slur in Halifax

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has suspended a player with the Val-d'Or Foreurs for uttering a racist slur at a Halifax Mooseheads player on Sunday.
The league suspended forward Vincent Dunn for two games for "inappropriate comments which were directed towards" Moosehead defenceman Trey Lewis, an aboriginal player.
The league also fined the team $500.
In a statement Monday, the league said it has a zero tolerance policy for all forms of discrimination.
"All of our participants must be treated with respect and dignity," said League Commissioner Gilles Courteau.
