Kings county man dies after tree falls on him

A 52-year-old man from Kings County, N.S. died Monday after the tree he was cutting down on his property fell on him, according to police.
New Minas RCMP and the Canning Fire Department were called to the scene on Weaver Road in Pereau.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was transported to Halifax for an autopsy.
Police said the man's identity is not being released at the family's request.
