Halifax Regional Police are investigating an apparent case of road rage against a Metro Transit bus on Herring Cove Road Friday morning.
Lauren Leal, a spokeswoman with Halifax Regional Police, said a silver Pontiac Sunfire passed the bus, pulled out in front of it and came to a sudden stop.
The bus driver slammed on the brakes and there was a minor collision between the two vehicles.
A 19-year-old woman was taken to hospital as a result of that collision, said Leal.
Witnesses told CBC News that after the collision, the driver of the Pontiac Sunfire left his vehicle, yelled at the bus driver and punched the windows of the bus until one of them cracked.
The man got back into his car and sped off, witnesses told CBC News.
"I looked out my window there," said Kenny Smith, who lives nearby.
"I saw the bus driver getting out of his bus. He flagged down the police car."
Leal said investigators have a partial licence plate of the silver Pontiac Sunfire.
Police will also be reveiwing video footage captured by a Metro Transit camera.Share Tools
