A 15–year–old boy will appear in a Halifax provincial courtroom Wednesday to face accusations that he threatened a construction worker Tuesday afternoon.

Halifax Regional Police said the incident occurred at the Halifax Shopping Centre.

Police said the 30–year–old construction worker noticed a group of teens were causing trouble near a mall entrance. One of the teens turned on the man, and threatened to stab him with the knife.

Mall security then held three teens until the police arrived.

The 15–year–old now faces charges of assault with a weapon, breach of probation and breach of an undertaking.

No one was injured.
