A man died when his vehicle went into water in Erinville, Guysborough County. (Google maps)A 67-year-old man died Sunday afternoon in Erinville, Guysborough County after the truck he was driving went off the road and plunged into a lake.
A young couple riding an ATV discovered the man's truck partially submerged in a lake off the Lower Glencoe Road, 15 kilometres west of Guysborough.
"The motorist that discovered the vehicle entered the lake and was able to pull a male occupant from the vehicle and he was determined to have no pulse," said RCMP Sgt. Terry Miller.
EHS was called but efforts to revive the man failed.
Police do not suspect foul play. An autopsy will be performed to try and determine cause of death.
