High winds on the Cabot Strait have cancelled all of Marine Atlantic's ferry crossings for the next 24 hours.
All of its vessels are tied up until the wind dies down.
The MV Highlanders is currently holding in North Sydney, N.S., while the MV Atlantic Vision is docked in Port aux Basques, N.L.
Passengers who were supposed to sail Thursday have been rescheduled until Friday, if the weather permits.
Travellers are asked to stay in contact with the company for updates.
