Man dies after Halifax house fire

A 49-year-old man died Monday after a weekend fire in this house. (Blair Rhodes/CBC)A man who was badly injured in a Halifax house fire Sunday night has died.
The fire broke out around 9 p.m. on Lynch Street in the city's north end. The man was the only person in the house.
At the time, fire crews said his injuries appeared to be serious and he was taken to hospital. He died Monday. The man was 49. Police are not yet releasing his name.
The fire likely started in a bedroom and was quickly extinguished, fire officials said.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
