2 cats die in Robie Street fire, 1 survived

Two cats died, but one was rescued after a second floor fire at a house on Robie Street. (CBC)
Two cats died, a third was rescued, when a fire broke out in the second floor of a house at the north end of Robie Street Thursday evening. No one else was home at the time.
Capt. Brad Connors, of Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency, said it didn't take long for fire crews to put out the blaze.
"We knocked the fire down pretty quickly," said Connors. "Could have been a lot worse."

No one was home at the time of the blaze.
He said the cause of the blaze is still unknown.
"We're going to send in our investigators and do a thorough investigation to determine a cause," Connors said.
