Despite repeated warnings from police, veterinarians and animal welfare groups, authorities have received 45 calls this month of dogs left in vehicles.
On Monday during the hot and humid weather, police received four complaints.
The CBC's Blair Rhodes performed an experiment to see how high the mercury can climb in a closed vehicle. In just seven minutes, the thermometer went from 10 to 50 degrees.
