Fox River man faces hitman charge

RCMP have charged a 74-year-old man from Cumberland County for trying to have someone murdered.
Melville Taylor, of Fox River, faces one count of counselling to commit first-degree murder and one count of counselling to commit aggravated assault.
RCMP say the intended victim, a 45-year-old man from Fox River, was not harmed.
It's alleged the accused tried to hire someone to commit the murder, says Sgt. Brigdit Leger of the Nova Scotia RCMP.
Police arrested Taylor on Wednesday and later released him from custody.
He's expected to appear in Amherst provincial court on Aug. 21.
