Police are warning the public about a Halifax man wanted for violating his parole. (Halifax regional police)A 21-year-old Halifax man convicted of stabbing another man over frozen food four years ago did not return to his Saint John, N.B. halfway house Sunday night, Halifax police say.
Police are asking for the public's help in locating Brandon Anderson.
Anderson was convicted of stabbing 21-year-old Paul Saunders, of Quebec, to death during an apartment party in Spryfield in 2008.
The court heard that the party was loud and raucous, and both men had been drinking. They reached for knives after a disagreement over how long frozen Pizza Pops should be cooked in a microwave oven.
Anderson pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to five years in prison, but is now on parole.
Police say he is 6 feet tall, about 210 pounds and has green eyes and brown hair.
Police say Anderson should be considered dangerous.
