A Mountie who was killed on the job in western Saskatchewan was remembered in his hometown of Fall River, N.S. today.
Const. Derek Pineo, 38, who joined the force in 2007, died a week and a half ago after hitting a moose with his cruiser.
Pineo grew up in Fall River and was married with three children.
A regimental service was held on Wednesday, and Pineo was interred Sunday afternoon at the Anglican Church in Fall River where his parents live.
