Albert LeBlanc is accused of abusing boys 40 years ago. (Craig Paisley/CBC)Albert LeBlanc pleaded guilty to six charges of indecent assault in a Yarmouth courtroom Monday. The six represent one charge for each of the victims.
The 82-year-old former Roman Catholic priest was accused of abusing several boys as young as seven-years-old in the 1970s and 80s.
LeBlanc was a priest in the Yarmouth diocese from 1955 to 1973, when he resigned and left the priesthood, a spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Halifax said last year.
LeBlanc subsequently worked as a probation officer.
LeBlanc faces another 44 charges but they have been adjourned until his sentencing hearing. That's scheduled for August 17.
