Tanning salon voyeur gets house arrest

Russell Alexander Wile was charged last summer. (Craig Paisley/CBC)A Pictou County man has been handed a nine-month conditional sentence for spying on people in a change room at a tanning salon.
Russell Alexander Wile, 34, is under house arrest after pleading guilty to voyeurism.
Wile admitted to hiding an iPhone at Coco Beach Tanning Salon in New Glasgow last summer. The phone was programmed to start recording whenever someone moved in front of it.
An employee found the device and contacted police.
Police arrested Wile in July. They said they found images on the phone.
Wile pleaded guilty to one count of voyeurism in August.
