Dartmouth homicide victim identified

The woman who was killed at an apartment building on Primrose Street in Dartmouth Friday night has been identified.

The woman killed Friday night at a Dartmouth apartment building has been identified as Angela Patricia Hall, 39, police say.
An autopsy performed on her body Saturday determined that she was the victim of a homicide.
Halifax Regional Police are still not saying exactly how she died, but the superintendent of the building where Hall lived has said that she was stabbed. That has not been confirmed.
At 8:21 p.m. Friday, police went to 44 Primrose Street after receiving a call about an injured person.
Police officers located Hall in the hallway, and she was transported to hospital where she died.
Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit are interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday night.

Hall was the third homicide victim in the Halifax Regional Municipality in April.
There have been 16 shootings in Halifax since March, and earlier this month there were five stabbings in a 24-hour period.
Halifax Regional Police spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said he understands residents are worried by the violence.
"We certainly understand the citizens' frustration. There have been a lot of high-profile incidents that have happened," he said Sunday.
"They're very concerning to us, as they are to our citizens, and we want to re-assure everybody that not only are we putting all our resources behind this homicide, but we have a concerted effort in place to address the recent violence."
