Halifax police are looking for a 21-year-old man and a vehicle in connection with a murder and attempted murder investigation after a stabbing in Dartmouth Saturday night.
Police say they want to talk to Mason Brent Ardell Bordon of Dartmouth and are looking for a dark Mercedes-Benz with licence number EJB 986. The car was seen leaving the area just after the stabbings took place.
Halifax Regional Police spokeswoman Theresa Rath said police believe Bordon may be associated with the vehicle.
The search comes after a 19-year-old woman was stabbed to death and her 32-year-old sister was injured in the community's North End.
The 19-year-old's body was found inside the front door of an apartment building at 117 Pinecrest Dr. after police were called to the scene at about 11:20 p.m. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
On Sunday there were evidence markers outside the entrance and in the back parking lot of the building.
Investigators believe there was a party inside one of the apartments. During the party, a group of people known to the victims entered.
A fight spilled out onto the front lawn of the apartment building and led to the stabbing, police said.
The victim's 32-year-old sister, who was hosting the party, was stabbed and received non-life-threatening injuries. She has since been released from hospital.
Rath said it's believed between 25 and 30 people were at the party and they're hoping to hear from some of them.
