Thieves made off with $10,000 worth of lumber and shingles from AFA Forest Products Inc. in Lawrencetown over the weekend, police say.

The theft of a pallet of lumber and multiple pallets of shingles from a locked area happened either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, Halifax RCMP said in a news release.

Police believe the thieves used a flat-bed truck outfitted with either a forklift or crane lift.
