A woman pushing a baby in a stroller near the Halifax Common early Saturday night was sexually assaulted by a man who grabbed her buttocks, police say.

The woman was approached by a man in his 30s who grabbed her by the waist and buttocks and commented on how good she looked, according to police.

The man is described as white, with buzzed dark hair, scruffy facial hair, a long face and nose and droopy eyes. He was wearing a blue button-up shirt with sleeves rolled up, and tan shorts, and was carrying a brown shoulder bag.

The woman was not injured in the incident, which happened on Robie Street at 8:45 p.m.
