The Queen's daughter was scheduled to be in Halifax on Wednesday to help celebrate 50 years of medical services in the Canadian Forces.
But a cloud of volcanic ash continues to disrupt travel plans for millions of people. On Tuesday, the Canadian military announced the cancellation of the princess's trip for "flight safety reasons."
Princess Anne — colonel-in-chief of the Canadian Forces Medical Services — had planned to tour the hospital at the Stadacona base and meet with doctors and patients.
