Pedestrian killed by car near Windsor

A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed Saturday night on Highway 215 near Windsor, N.S.

RCMP said an officer was conducting regular highway patrols in the area when she came upon a vehicle parked on the side of the highway.

A man who appeared injured was lying nearby. He was pronounced dead and an autopsy is planned.

RCMP said it's too early in the investigation to say whether charges will be laid in the death.

Police have not released the man's name.
