RCMP in New Minas, N.S., are asking for the public's help to locate a missing man.
Ray Fowlie, 47, of Kentville, was last seen at the Wandlyn Inn in Coldbrook last Sunday.
He spoke to his sister, Jamie Marie Fowlie, the next day and was supposed to have dinner with her the following night, but he never showed up and wasn't at work all week.
"This is very, very out of character for my brother to be gone this long," she said.
"My brother and I communicate every day. It doesn't make sense to me. We thought of every reason and we just can't wrap our brain around it. What happened? Where did he go? Why would he walk away from work? He's not home, he's not at the hotel, I don't know where he is."
Fowlie's bank account was accessed once in Halifax on Tuesday and his cellphone was used once in Annapolis County on Wednesday, said Cpl. Greg Hicks of the King's District RCMP in New Minas.
"We did some checks around the cellphone tower associated to that activity with the members on the ground there. When that didn't give us any more information we used the RCMP helicopter yesterday to do a more thorough search of the area looking for the vehicle that Mr. Fowlie is associated to," he said.
But the search failed to turn up any evidence of Fowlie or his truck.
Fowlie is described as 5'11'', 130 pounds, with dark brown hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a white sweater, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Police believe he's driving a 1999 white Ford Explorer with the licence plate EKU 506.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
