The driver of the SUV was killed in Friday morning's crash on the Forest Hills Extension. (CBC)RCMP have confirmed that one person died in a fiery crash between a military bus and an SUV in Dartmouth on Friday.
Cpl. Joe Taplin said the driver of the SUV was killed in the head-on collision on the Forest Hills Extension, off Main Street.
All three people on the bus were taken to hospital — one with serious injuries and two with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred after the morning rush hour on a straight section of road. Investigators are trying to piece together what happened.
"It appears the SUV possibly crossed the centre line up where the collision took place," said Taplin.
The road has been closed.
