Lahey's child pornography case put off

An Ottawa judge has put off the case of Bishop Raymond Lahey, who is charged with possession of child pornography.
Lahey's lawyer appeared in court on his client's behalf on Wednesday and asked for more disclosure of evidence on the charges, which also include importation of child pornography.
The judge agreed to put the case over to Dec. 16.
Lahey, who resigned as bishop of the diocese of Antigonish in Nova Scotia before the charges became public, has been living in a priest's residence run by the archdiocese of Ottawa.
He was detained on Sept. 15 after border officials said they found what they suspected were pornographic images of young males on his laptop. Lahey was released at the time, then charged 10 days later after investigators confirmed several of the subjects were underage.
