An 18-year-old Lunenburg County man was killed over the weekend when his all-terrain vehicle ran into a guardrail on a bridge.
Police said Luc Meisner died Friday night in the crash near the village of New Germany.
A 21-year-old friend, whose name has not been released, was also thrown to the road on impact, police said.
The unidentified passenger was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The RCMP say mechanical failure may have caused the accident. The ATV is being examined to determine the exact cause of the crash.
Both men were wearing helmets.
