Storm prompts 'Code Grey' at 2 Nova Scotia hospitals
Stormy weather is affecting care and staffing at St. Martha's and the Strait Richmond Hospital
The Guysborough Antigonish Strait Health Authority is operating at "Code Grey" for two of its hospitals today.
All outpatient appointments and ambulatory care clinics at Saint Martha's Regional Hospital and Strait Richmond Hospital are cancelled.
Chemotherapy, renal dialysis, and surgery are open.
"We have staff available, but we would like to be notified if people are unable to come in," said spokeswoman Peggy Mahon.
Staff are being told not to come in, unless it's safe to do so.
Additionally, any staff members who can come in are advised to call the switchboard to let administrators know their availability.
Mahon says Guysborough Memorial Hospital is running on emergency power, but it remains open.
