Stolen poppy donation can suspect sought by police

A woman who police suspect of stealing a poppy donation can from a Dartmouth Irving on Sunday is being sought by Halifax Regional Police.

A woman who police suspect of stealing a poppy donation can from a Dartmouth Irving gas station on Sunday is being sought by Halifax Regional Police.

Shortly before 1 a.m. a woman went into a the gas station on Windmill Road. Police said she took the poppy donation can from the counter and left the station on foot.

Police describe the suspect as a white woman in her twenties, about five feet five inches tall, medium build with blond hair.

Police are asking anyone with information on the woman’s identity to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
