Man arrested, another hospitalized after stabbing in Halifax
Police found man with several stab wounds outside apartment on Randall Avenue in Fairview area
A man is facing charges after a stabbing on Friday night in the Fairview area of Halifax.
Halifax Regional Police said they were called to an apartment on Randall Avenue at 10:46 p.m. to respond to a report of people fighting in front of an apartment building.
By the time officers got there the fight was over, but police found a 33-year-old with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics took him to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Another man ran away when officers arrived. Police chased and arrested him at a nearby home on Main Avenue.
A 31-year-old man is in police custody. Police expect to lay charges against him later in the day.
