Snow leads to school closures across Nova Scotia
Schools are closed and activities cancelled across Nova Scotia as a snowstorm moved across parts of the province on Tuesday.
All schools in the Halifax Regional School Board, South Shore Regional School Board, Strait Regional School Board and Tri-County Regional School Board were closed, as were East Hants schools within the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board.
Classes were also cancelled at Conseil scolaire acadien provincial schools in Halifax, Clare and Argyle.
The Nova Scotia Community College campuses in Shelburne and Yarmouth were also closed on Tuesday.
Environment Canada issued snowfall warnings for Yarmouth, Shelburne and Queens counties and those areas were warned to expect more than 15 centimetres of snow by Tuesday afternoon.
Drivers across the province were warned to give themselves ample time to reach morning destinations due to blowing snow and poor visibility.
