Halifax Regional Police were called to a home overnight where they found bullet holes after receiving several calls about shots fired near Gottingen and North streets.

The calls came in at 12:13 a.m.

Bullet holes and fragments were found in the side of a home on Wood Avenue. The glass of the door was also shattered.

At the time the home was shot, three people were inside but no one was hurt.

Police said witnesses reported seeing two males running away from the scene before getting into a dark-coloured SUV and driving away.

Investigators say they believe they’ve found the vehicle, which has been impounded.

They're hoping to get a search warrant today so they can inspect the SUV.

No arrests have been made.
