Two men are in police custody and face a slew of charges after a shot was fired inside an apartment in Dartmouth Friday night.

Halifax police responded to a weapon complaint at an apartment building near Prince Albert Road and Pleasant Street around 10 p.m.

Police say they believe the men knew each other and that this was not a random incident.

They said the victim had minor injuries.

Two men, aged 23 and 26, are facing charges including attempted murder, break and enter, possession of a weapon, assault with a weapon and discharging a firearm.
