Second Sheet Harbour homicide victim named
RCMP in Nova Scotia have confirmed the identity of the second of two men killed in a suspected homicide in Sheet Harbour.
He was 59-year-old Earle Stewart of Halifax.
His body and that of 22-year-old Matthew Allan Hebb were found in a burned out cabin on Dec. 12.
The bodies were discovered after witnesses reported seeing a fire at a building that was a cottage or a hunting camp.
Neighbours and friends had identified Stewart to CBC News before police officially named him.
Two people were arrested and questioned by police, but they were released without being charged.
Police have not said how the two men died, but believe they were in the area to get Christmas trees.
