Another Nova Scotia man has been charged in connection to the murder of a Cape Breton woman whose body was found stuffed into a hockey bag on the Mira River.
Police arrested 37-year-old Brian Augustine Deruelle of Glace Bay at his home on Sunday. He's been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
On Saturday Cape Breton police said they had arrested and charged 49-year-old Robert Edwin Matheson, also of Glace Bay, with accessory after the fact to murder.
The body of 21-year-old Laura Jessome, who is from the Cape Breton community of Little Bras d'Or, was found stuffed into a hockey bag on the Mira River in May.
Both Deruelle and Matheson will appear in provincial court on Dec.17. They are being held at the Cape Breton Correctional Centre until their appearances.
The province added Jessome's case to the Major Unsolved Crimes Program in November. It offers up to $150,000 cash for tips that lead to solving the crime.
