A major police search is underway for a missing woman Framboise, Cape Breton.
Michelle Demers-Kennedy was last seen May 2.
Monday, police concentrated their efforts several kilometres up the road. Police used a search warrant to check a home. They won’t say anything more about what they are looking for.
Demers-Kennedy was reported missing on Mother’s Day after one of her sons called and she didn’t answer.
Neighbours went to check on the 57-year-old and they found her bedroom light still on, and a book left on her bed. The dog was also still in the house.
Demers-Kennedy lives alone on a hobby farm near a heavily wooded area. Police have used tracker dogs, a helicopter and ground search and rescue crews to no avail.
Her son said a pond on the property was also drained during the initial days of the search.
Police say they are not ruling anything out as the investigation continues.
