The military has called off its search off the coast of Nova Scotia.
A Cormorant aircraft was dispatched to the south shore of Nova Scotia this morning after a concerned citizen reported seeing a flare in the sky, east of Liverpool.
Police said they received the call between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. from someone driving down Highway 103.
The RCMP and coast guard did a search of the shore line, but there was no sign of anyone in distress and all local vessels are accounted for.
The coast guard vessel The Earl Grey was sent from Halifax.
