A driver lost control of her vehicle and drove head on into a school bus in Truro this morning, said the RCMP.

There was heavy snow fall at the time, and the roads were icy.

Police said no one was hurt in the crash on Truro Heights Road. There were 35 students on the bus at the time. Another bus was brought in to take them to school.

That was one of eight crashes in the County Wednesday morning.

RCMP said several vehicles went off the road or rolled into the ditch.

There was also at least one incident of someone being rear-ended when they stopped to help other motorists.

Police said one person was taken to hospital with injuries.
