Nova Scotia police hoping to track down owner of tree

Halifax RCMP are on the hunt for a driver who lost a Christmas tree on Highway 101 near Bedford, N.S. Saturday evening.

Police say the tree fell off a vehicle, landing on the road.

Three vehicles then swerved to avoid the tree, and all landed in a ditch.

The highway had to be closed for several hours to pull the vehicles out.

No one was injured.

RCMP say the owner of the tree might not have realized the cargo was missing and didn't stop.

They're now asking anyone with information about the driver to call police.
