Halifax woman robbed while trying to sell clothing over the internet
33-year-old taken to hospital after she was punched and police say her clothing was stolen
A 33-year-old woman was robbed in Halifax last night as she and and a 41-year-old man tried to sell clothing to buyers they had met over the internet, according to the Halifax Regional Police.
Police said they were called to the 300 block of Herring Cove Road about the robbery around 10:25 p.m. Saturday.
The woman and the man used a buy and sell website to arrange a meeting with a couple they didn't know, who claimed they wanted to buy their clothing.
When the woman met the couple to sell the clothes, police say she was punched, and the clothes she was selling were stolen.
The couple then ran away and police say they were unable to find them.
The woman who was punched was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects are described as a white 30 to 40 year-old-man with dark hair wearing a dark hat with a white bandana and dark faded jeans.
The other suspect is described as a white woman approximately five feet four inches tall with a thin build and dark hair worn in a pony tail.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact the Halifax Regional Police.
