Halifax police arrested a 22-year-old man for attempted murder on Tuesday in connection with a bar shooting this summer.

Officers said a man was walking out of the Red Fox Bar & Grill on Bayers Road in Halifax’s west end on July 6 when he was approached by another man who fired several shots, hitting the victim.

The suspect then ran away.

Police surrounded a home on Hunter Street on Oct. 1 just before 1:30 p.m. and brought a man into custody.

They said charges are pending.
