Nova Scotia RCMP have a man in custody after the seizure of an indoor marijuana grow operation in Yarmouth County, N.S.
Police say the arrest was made Saturday after officers took more than 600 marijuana plants from a home. Members from the Yarmouth detachment and the federal RCMP drug section took part in the bust.
"This is a significant amount of marijuana to take off of our communities' roadways," Sgt. Brigdit Leger told CBC News.
"Any time we can take that amount of marijuana off our roads so it doesn't end up in our communities, on our streets, in the hands of our children, it will certainly make a significant impact in keeping our communities safer."
There is no word on whether charges are pending.
