RCMP secure property off Hwy 103 in Reita Jordan case
Reita Louise Jordan's live-in partner, Paul Trevor Calnen, charged with murder in her death
Nova Scotia RCMP have secured a property off an old logging road near Highway 103 in connection with the disappearance of Reita Louise Jordan.
Officers were in an area off Highway 103 between Hammonds Plains and Hubbards on Thursday afternoon, said RCMP. Ground search and rescue crews were expected to arrive on the scene Friday.
Jordan was last seen almost three months ago by friends. The Tantallon woman has not been seen or heard from since.
Paul Trevor Calnen, of Hammonds Plains, was arrested earlier this week and charged with second-degree murder and indecently interfering with human remains. Jordan is presumed dead but her body has not been found.
Neighbours and friends have told CBC News that Jordan and Calnen lived together and were romantically involved, although Jordan's friends said the relationship was coming to an end.
RCMP finished searching Calnen's property on Rising Sun Trail in Hammonds Plains on Wednesday.
