Police in Nova Scotia are looking for a man who allegedly tried to abduct a Waycobah woman on Tuesday.

According to the RCMP, the man flagged down the woman as she drove down Portage Road in Orangedale.

He told her he was having car problems and she lent him her cellphone. The man then allegedly grabbed the woman’s wrist and tried to pull her into his car.

She was able to break free, run back to her own car and drive away.

Police said she suffered bruising on her wrist.

The suspect is in his mid-50s, with salt and pepper hair and a curly moustache. He was driving a dark-coloured Chevrolet Cavalier.
