Python joins Halifax museum's Harlem Shake
The Harlem Shake spread to Halifax's Museum of Natural History this week.
The dance craze has been tackled underwater, in university dorm rooms and grocery stores, and posted online around the world.
Staff at the Halifax museum donned hats, hoisted stuffed deer and let loose perhaps the most limber dancer in the building: Granite the Python.
"It's a little tricky. You don't want to drop him," said Granite's dance partner and handler, Jungle Jeff.
Curator Jeff Gray said the video was part of the museum's educational outreach. Sort of.
"At the end of the day, if it shows that a museum can be fun and not a stodgy old institution, then I think that's a good thing," he said.
