Power has been restored to almost 3,800 homes and businesses northwest of Truro that lost electricity shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Nova Scotia Power says on its website the problem was caused by a "transmission line interruption."
Many of the outages were in the Debert area. Londonderry, Lower Onslow, Wentworth and other surrounding areas were also affected.
Power was restored around 3:30 p.m., according to Nova Scotia Power's website.
