Halifax Regional Police are looking into a possible shooting at a public housing block after two men turned up at a hospital Wednesday morning with injuries.


Police are patrolling the area near the intersection of Uniacke Street and Brunswick Street where there was a late night shooting. Two people were later found at hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. Police say they do not believe it was a random act. (CBC)


Officers were called to the Uniacke Square area at 12:45 a.m. after reported gunshots. Once there, investigators said there was no evidence of a shooting.

However, two shooting victims, aged 17 and 23, were located at the Halifax Infirmary.

Police said both have non life-threatening injuries.They said they do not consider this a random attack.

There is no description of the suspect yet.
