Pedestrian seriously injured after struck in crosswalk
Woman, 39, is expected to survive
Halifax Regional Police are investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured when she was struck in a crosswalk this morning.
The collision happened at 8:15 Tuesday morning at the intersection of Willett Street and Main Avenue in Halifax.
A 39-year-old woman was crossing Main Avenue in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a car driven by a 50-year-old woman.
Police say the pedestrian was seriously injured but she is expected to survive.
The eastbound lane of Main Avenue was shut down while police investigated the scene.
