The Nova Scotia Health Authority is asking for help to find a patient missing from a Halifax hospital since Friday afternoon.

Officials say concern for Jason Christian Walker, 43, increases the longer he is away from care

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is asking for help to find a patient missing from a Halifax hospital since Friday afternoon.

Jason Christian Walker, 43, was last seen around 3:20 p.m., health officials said in a release. They did not say from which hospital Walker left.

"Concern for his wellbeing increases the longer he is away from care," the health authority said. 

He is described as a white man about five foot six inches and 59 kg. He has short brown hair and is unshaven, the health authority said.

Walker was last seen wearing jeans, a black and white bandana on his head and black zippered jacket. He was carrying a dark backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
